Has anyone had a crack at riding the new seadoo spark?
In curious as to how they perform, particularly the 900 cc model.
The price seems really cheap but the hull is small compared to a standard seadoo and the power to weight should be arm yanking I'd presume....
    Any ideas

bubblegum is the most girly colour option they have.
I'd get straight black and get it pro wrapped, but more to the point at 185kgs dryweight and 900cc of power at your fingertips it could be a surf machine or an absolute waste of 7k...
And insurance wouldn't be such an issue either

Joel from Brisbane seadoo brought one to maroochydore last Thursday and I got to give it a flogging.
It was the 90hp model cost around 8.5k.
The hull is made from recycled plastic and handled more like a rockered nose b2 than a seadoo. Couldn't nose dive it, was really great in the surf and even the old skool blaster riders from the Thursday crew are now buying them.

The engine has a lot of punch and I think it fills a massive hole in the market and they will sell like crazy. For the price they do the job.

They seem a bit ass heavy in the air but I eventually got used to it. The engine was the most impressive feature, felt like had a lot more to give with some mods, apparently chips and turbos are on the way from the US

Saying that I would never buy one though but I think they are fun. Handled in the surf awesomely.

Chips and turbos. Does that mean when you buy a Spark, they will ask you if you want Fries with that. lol. Are you talking about guys that ride B2 s Matt. Surely they cant be riding B1 s and want to buy a Spark. Recycled Plastic?? like coke bottles?? I so want to see Jay get his hands on one . Im also thinking that those hulls must be so cheap to produce or Seadoo have been sticking it into everyone for a long time. That's my 2 bits.

Haha Dave! would you like coke and fries with your pink jetski ;) and I wonder if the local seadoo dealer would let jay take one for a "TEST" ride in the surf......

If it's anything like the XP Limited, it will suck balls and breakdown like a mofo..

apparently if you sink a 4 stroke, you can't just pump the water out and continue (maybe that needs validation).. which happens a fair bit in the surf

Yeah that right, you have to change the oil as it goes milky. Plus the oil filter. And in most 4 strokes they have an air filter that gets soaked and needs replacing.
I have done plenty of wet starts on 4 strokes over the years and it is costly when you have to do all of the above. In most cases you have to change the oil 3+ times before it becomes clear again.

Stew to get at the engine you have to remove 15 screws. they said it was sealed but we got water in there.

yep Dave - recycled plastic. Seriously light. Actually not a bad hull material

My theory was that they are selling them cheap and there will be lots of mods to boost the sales. $400 stciker kit in 40 flavours, compartment in the front to keep your tampons and retractable anchor ropes

Apparently Riva are doing all the mod bits, you can also run a 155 chip on one

I like the idea, Im not sure about fixing the hull but then its it less likely to crack I would think. And hey if they are that cheap how much can a hull be worth

Melbourne seadoo already selling them guys....they had a big day the other weekend at a local lake west of melbourne for anyone wanting to test ride them.
I reckon for under 10K it's a pretty good buy and as others have said power to weight and if seadoo have got the right pump set up they would be a zippy little machine I would of thought.

The only way id get one is, buy the cheapest one, throw the engine in JJ Richards & put in a Dasa 1200!!!!!!
The only thing is, it would probably break in half on landing if you go Jay or Dan Big!!!!
