Jetski Surf Freeride Australia

Hello Surf Slam Family,

Normally I am writing to say pack your bags, earn some brownie points and book some holidays for the upcoming Surf Slam Oz but it is with regret, disappointment and great sadness that the 2016 Surf Slam Oz will not be proceeding.

The 2015 Surf Slam saw success beyond the management’s dreams and expectations bringing 100 plus riders and the first round of the IFWA World Tour to Alexandra Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

The feedback we have had from the competitors, spectators and the sponsors has been nothing but positive and we were looking forward to repeating that again in 2017.

Unfortunately, there have been some circumstances that cannot be overcome to make the Surf Slam work this year. This is primarily a result of Alex and Maroochydore Surf Clubs booking permits for a solid 2 – 3 months for their 2016 surf carnival. They are expecting 25000 + people so we didn’t get any consideration to share the beach.

Plans are in place for 2017 to bring the event back to Alexandra Headland and to be bigger and better than we have done before!!

The support you have all given to the event especially on occasions of short notice is much appreciated. It has been a pleasure to organize the event and to see the growth of the sport and level of the riders increase over the last 4 years, as the event from a small BBQ to a World Class event. Who knows what we achieve in the future!!

Please keep an eye on the Sunshine Coast Jet Sport website, www.scjsc.com for any upcoming rides and events.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Less weight and more power is the High Performance philosophy behind the all-new VXR.

The original VXR was renowned amongst performance enthusiast riders as the pinnacle of all non-supercharged performance watercraft. The all-new VXR continues to wear that crown with enhanced performance, versatility and efficiency due to the all-new hull, features and RiDE control system.

Designed from the keel upwards to deliver a "New Type of High Performance", featuring a newly-redesigned race-performance inspired hull with edgy looks, electric trim technology and Yamaha's exclusive RiDE dual throttle control system. The new deeper V-shape NanoXcel hull delivers responsive and exciting handling in varying conditions, which is precision matched with Yamaha's big torque, 1.8 litre naturally aspirated High Output Marine engine, allowing the VXR to accelerate from 0-50kph in 1.8 seconds*.

Athletic and ready for action, the VXR delivers class-leading acceleration, unrivalled fuel-economy and the best overall value on the water for a High Performance musclecraft.

Yamaha Motor Australia is excited to announce the appointment of their newest Queensland WaveRunner Dealership – Shoreline Yamaha. This experienced family team promises to bring a unique blend of customer-centric service, engineering & watercraft-racing experience and a new-level of WaveRunner innovation & versatility through their fishing-focused ‘Tubby’ pod range.

The Shoreline Yamaha team is led by Dealer Principals – Patrick and Dawn O’Keeffe, with sons Jordan O’Keeffe & Thaine ‘O’Keeffe. With Patrick’s extensive watercraft experience expanding to the late 1970’s, the O’Keeffe family hold over 60 years of watercraft experience between them.

Previously known as Shoreline Jet Skis, this family-owned and operated dealership is an articulated-expansion of South Africa’s premier WaveRunner Dealership - Racetech Yamaha. Together the O’Keeffe family revolutionised the Watercraft industry in South Africa with their innovative engineering seen in their race watercraft, and more-recently seen in their range of Shoreline Tubby Fishing Pods.

Constructed of reinforced fibreglass, the Shoreline Tubbys are bolt-on pods that sit on either side of the watercraft, giving the PWC a new lease in stability and extra storage space. These tubbys transform a PWC into a more fishing-focused watercraft and have proved popular amongst fishermen across the globe, with more and more anglers flocking to personal watercraft as a versatile alternative to the traditional fishing boat.

Located on the door-step to the Pacific Highway at Springwood Queensland, Shoreline Yamaha is conveniently positioned between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, in one of South-East Queensland’s fastest growing areas. Shoreline Yamaha stocks the complete WaveRunner range; from watercraft, to Genuine Yamaha Parts & Accessories and is destined to provide a level of good-old fashioned service you’d come to expect from a family-owned and operated business.
