Krash Landed In USA
The first Krash JB1 hull arrived at Daytona freeride. Brian from Thrust innovations is now the official importer/distributor for Krash Industries. Nick Barton made his way to Daytona last week and Brian had a brand new JB1 decked out with a 900cc DASA ready for this years Thrust Innovations Daytona Freeride. There were over 400 skis on the beach making it one the largest Freeride events in the world. The JB1 was received by the US freeride fraternity after much anticipation and from the feedback on XH2othey weren't disappointed. The intension was for the JB1 to be used as a demo ski and for Nick at the event however he struggled to get much of a ride in as the ski was in high demand.

Rip'N Ride 4 Wrap up
Well that's a wrap you could say!!!! The High Roller Cronulla Rip'N Ride 4 was to me, the best one yet! Sorry it's taken a bit to get this out but I have only just been able to dig myself out of all the sand in my yard.
This year we proved that not even the weather can put a dampener on it.
Firstly I'd like to again thank everyone involved, without you all we couldn't have pulled it off. To Local Council and the NSW Maritime, it has been an absolute pleasure to work along side you and strengthen our relationship.
High Roller… you did it again. From the beach layout to the girls to the energy your drinks bring to the after party, thank you. Yamaha… you have been our number one supporter from day one, thank you for believing in us.
To our riders…. Great effort. To travel from all over Australia, New Zealand and even Brazil, this only proves we are heading in the right direction.
Now for the days events….
Sickest trick winner Nick Barton took home the $1000 and had a tough time in the small conditions. A well deserved win. The winner of the Rip'n Ride award Mr Mick Anthony, a guy who has a "never give up" attitude has improved as a rider enormously in the past few months. To the Cherry poppers, congratulations on your first back flips and an overwhelming effort to pull it off on such small waves. And, to the winner of the Brand new 2011 Yamaha Superjet, Mr Dave Carmody, you lucky bastard. I hope you ride it like you won it.
Finally, the most enjoyable part of the event, the presentation at Sting bar. What a blast. It was great to see everyone stay and dance off right to the end not including those that were kicked out. LOL.
And Finally thanks to all our generous sponsors for this year we are truly grateful. Your support and product donation really make this event one of the best in the world.
Here's to 2012……….

New parts price rollback!
Since working tirelessly campaigning to bring the new ski prices down from where they were, I have turned my attention to spare parts pricing. Over the last three months we have been able to rollback the prices on a significant number of Genuine spare parts. The RRP has actually in most cases dramatically reduced from where it was. To give you some idea, genuine drive shafts for a superjet used to retail at over $1000.00 for the set. The price now is around $550.00. Most prices have come down by 40-50%. The majority of prices are now rolled into line with the US prices and generally parts ordered from the US with freight costs will more than likely cost more than they would from us here at GCWR. This is a work in progress and we still have plenty of work to do as it is a long and tedious process to go through each part individually, investigate and send of to YMC for analysis. We have started with fast moving parts first. Next time you need a Genuine part, give us a call. If that part has not being rolled back yet and you can buy it cheaper over the net including freight costs, we will try our hardest to get the price to an acceptable level.
And lastly, I know there will be comments from people who want to criticise it for whatever reason, just remember that I have being working on this night and day to make a difference. This is what people want, and that is why I am trying so hard to make it a reality.
Cheers

New ATP "Torrent" Top loader Scoopgrate.
The initial concept was designed by us more than 6 years ago and has sat on a computer since. It's only more recently we revisited this product then refined, manufactured and is now due for release. Appropriately named "Torrent" due to the hydrodynamic effect of the foils.
"Torrent " is also adjustable both up & down and back and forth. Two bolts mount the foils through the centre fin, this is also how they adjust.
Adjustability means suitability for different riding conditions and styles. Fits Superjet 1990 -2007 and aftermarket hulls with same pin out.
Supplied as shown with mounting bolts. Available in Black & Silver or Black & Red anodise

AJSP Qld Rip’N Ride and a huge Success
68 Riders for the first ever AJSP QLD Rip’N Ride and thanks to Jason and Matt for making it such a well-organised and memorable event. I am very proud of the QLD Rip’N Ride organisers for bringing the event to QLD and adding there new ideas and making it just that bit better. It was especially great to finally meet a lot of the ozfreeride members and putting a name to them. The cherry popper was as better than ever and around 16 riders had their first crack at a back flip. Sickest trick and biggest air where as exciting as ever even though the swell was not as hoped.
The social aspect of the Rip'N Ride is what glues us together and helps build our sport. Thanks Jase for using the Rip'N Ride format as we will all benefit from your vision and efforts. Results Sickest trick

Krash Industries Australian Freeride Series Round 1
At first the event had some issues as it was to be involved with the Rip’N Ride format and would effect the relaxed atmosphere the Rip'N Ride creates. On Sunday morning of the event it was not looking to good, as people were not to keen to compete in pro especially. Boy! Were we wrong…. We had 17 amateurs ready and fired up to compete and compete they did. The most special thing was that the pro riders were willing to sacrifice their championship for the progression of the amateurs. As we were pressed for time to run this event in such a short space of time. Again we showed the racers that we were a freeride force to be reckoned with as Amateurs put on an unbelievable show of determination and ability. Some of the Amateurs like Cayle, Luke, Braden and Shaun were going off.
Well done Krash Industries for believing in this event and running it so well.
Whilst still pressed for time Jason had one more event up his sleave, the freeride Dash for Cash. I even had to have a crack at this one. The dash for cash was infamously voted the most entertaining event of the weekend. In the Dash For Cash a racer was caught out being help in the water by racer friends during a Lemans Start and then held back by freeriders to make it fair. The racer had a specific race ski and race goggles. Thankfully a freerider won, congratulations Troy Rafferty. Results

More 3reedom for WaveRunner Customers
Yamaha WaveRunners have announced a new initiative designed to give WaveRunner customers an even better deal and increased peace of mind on the water. Yamaha are introducing three initiatives to help PWC buyers get on the water sooner and experience the freedom of owning the most trusted brand of PWC on the market.
The initiatives, to be promoted as "Experience the 3reedom", includes an overhaul to both the WaveRunner retail pricing and warranty support package. Yamaha are introducing long term price reductions, as well as up to three years' factory warranty* across the full range of Yamaha watercraft. As the third bonus for customers, Yamaha are also offering a Yamaha Motor Finance promotional rate of just 8.99%.
"It's an exciting time for Australians," said Iain MacLeod, National Sales and Marketing manager for Yamaha Watercraft in Australia and NZ. "We felt it was the right time to introduce to the market something special that would give Aussie customers an unbeatable overall package and extra peace of mind."
While the price reductions are sure to help more people hit the water with a brand new WaveRunner over the course of the year, the change to the factory warranty is probably the biggest step forward for Yamaha and the Australian PWC market as a whole. Yamaha is now the only manufacturer offering the availability of a factory back warranty of up to three years, a real testament to the reliability of Yamaha

Yamaha WaveRunners - "The Madness Continues"
Yamaha WaveRunners have announced they will extend their "March Madness" promotion into April with Iain MacLeod, National sales and Marketing Manager for Yamaha WaveRunners, proclaiming that the "madness will continue".
Yamaha's March Madness Campaign was a great success with many people hitting the water on a brand new WaveRunner in time for the extended Easter / Anzac day break this year. With this promotion now being extended until the end of April, customers still have a chance to take advantage of these great savings.
This promotion has been designed to assist local customers to take advantage of the favourable exchange rates while still being able to purchase officially imported and Yamaha factory supported craft. With the level of discounts being offered, savvy customers were quick to see there was no need to take the risk of buying from private importers anymore.
"Yamaha would like to thank all their customers who purchased craft during the "March Madness" campaign. We appreciate all the positive comments we received," said Iain MacLeod. "It is encouraging for the Yamaha brand to know that there are so many supporters out there and as a sign of our appreciation we wish for the "madness" to continue."
Yamaha will be offering the same "crazy" deals on the world's most exciting and reliable personal water craft with discounts of up to $4500 available. So spread the word and let everyone know that the best deals can be found at their local participating Yamaha WaveRunner dealer.
A selection of WaveRunners will be on display at the Tinnie & Tackle boatshow:
RNA Showground, Brisbane, QLD Friday April 8 - Sunday 10, 2011.
Details of this offer can be found on the Yamaha web site and is only available from authorised participating Yamaha WaveRunner dealers. For further information visit:Yamaha

Introducing Lee Stone
Friday, 28 January 2011 14:09
by gobadirt.com
UK's Lee Stone is fast becoming the Travis Pastrana of Jet Skiing. He won his first freestyle world title at 14, then racked up another 4 by the age of 19. He's travelled the globe winning events in America, Brazil, Russia, has performed his freestyle routine for the king of Morocco, and was contracted by Yamaha in Japan to be a test-pilot becoming a vital part of their technical development team. Not bad going for a 19-year-old!
Lee Stone has spent the last few months Down Under enjoying the warmer climate and growing accustomed to the different lifestyle Oz has to offer. On the eve of his return to his homeland we caught up with the lad to find out a little more about him and whether or not he plans to spend more time in the lucky country we call home.
Hey Lee, to be honest we don't know a lot about you except you're a legend at Freestyle Jet Skiing, where you from mate: Chesterfield, it's right in the middle of England.
England can be quite a miserable place to live and its the last place we'd think a champion Jet Skier would come from: Well yeah you could say its a funny place to start from really, but we have a few local lakes that are good for jet skiing so its not as bad as you'd think. I started the sport as a hobby on weekends when I was only three years old, and then started competing later on and eventually became professional freestyle world champion for the first time at the age of 14.
How big is the Jet Skiing scene in England: It's actually pretty big for a country that's cold. We usually have around 200 competitors per event and we have a six round tour. More
